Our story

It started with a simple question

ImproveWood started as a small blog dedicated to wood finishing and woodworking techniques. The kind of site where you could find out whether to use oil or polyurethane, how to treat outdoor wood, or which carving knife was worth buying. Practical, no-fluff answers to questions that kept coming up.

Over time, something interesting happened. The readers who came for woodworking tips kept asking about the spaces around the wood — the kitchen cabinets, the floors, the living room décor. The questions got bigger. So did the site.

Today, ImproveWood covers everything from beginner wood carving projects to kitchen island ideas, farmhouse flooring inspiration to home décor trends that are actually worth trying.
